Delivering the Vision

Sometimes a client comes with a very specific idea of what they want. This was definitely the case with the owner for "Metes and Bounds." It's always fun to see the metamorphosis that happens! You start in that place (Your clients vision), going full circle through numerous drafts and proofs, patiently arriving at a place similar to where you started, but just so much better than either originally thought possible, delivering the Vision.

In this example, he expressed to me he wanted a draftsman look and maybe some sort of structure included in the logo. After getting a clear idea of what he pictured, I ran with his idea's and went for a blueprint/architectural sketch look. After multiple drafts (photos to the right), the structure idea was dropped. I showed and explained my journey to him to achieve what I believed he envisioned. My client loved the simplicity of the final logo and felt it was better than he thought possible.

The result? Well I'll let the client tell you in his own words.

"gen•ius
[jeen-yuhs]

noun, plural gen•ius•es

1.
an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, music, etc.: the genius of Casaundra Crofoot. Synonyms: intelligence, ingenuity, wit; brains.

2.
a person having such capacity...

To say that Casaundra is a creative genius is not hyperbole or an exaggeration. I contracted Casaundra a while back to design my company logo and business cards. Despite my inapt ability to describe the desired outcome in relatable creative terminology, she was able to effectively produce phenomenal results that communicated my professional and personal tastes. Her ability to translate my loosely formulated ideas into an efficacious marketing tool is just a tiny example of the value Casaundra brings to the table. She is a media maven that can create powerful designs and impactful marketing concepts."
